If they did my TF would be terrible. I report everyone who does anything remotely shady, just in case. Sometimes I get that "somebody you reported was convicted" message and that might increase TF, but at the rate I'm reporting people there's no way I'm right about even a third. Another reason TF can't be lowered by false reports: False reports aren't necessarily false.
If Overwatch and VAC decide the evidence isn't enough then that's a "false report", yet the person might still be a cheater.
Therefore punishing whoever reported the player would be counter-productive. Reporting is encouraged.

Do you team kill? Call hacks a lot or get a bit aggressive when reporting players? These would probably also have an affect. Accurate reports boost trust factor, immaculate reports probably lower it. Start commending your team mates when they're good?

Just play your best and only give info, never orders. That's enough to retain good trust factor. I continue to be baffled by people who claim they don't know why their trust factor is low. It seems to me like you'd have to actively try to get a bad TF, or simply be a cheater.
Not sure I get you. I agree with everything you said.
I'm not suggesting you be two faced, I don't know where you get that impression from, just be cool to people and have a good time. There's probably a lot of stats we haven't even considered that affect trust factor, just gotta take it at face value.
There is a huge difference in skill and the MM players i play against are bad, i get kills every game, they just get ridiculous kills with deagles and shit that wont even happen to you against FPLC players. Thats why im saying its fishy as hell.

Its counted on the base of yours. Second one: Your Trustfactor is worse than theirs and it will affect the matchmaking. If its red its substantially lower than yours and will significantly affect the experience. If you queue alone the enemy team and your teammates will have a similar Trustfactor to yours. People with a green Trustfactor will mainly get matched with experienced, legit and friendly players.
This really improves the matchmaking because you have the chance to tryhard for ranks and are able to reach them if you play enough. That also means if your Trusfactor is low, you mainly get matched with and against cheaters awell as trolls and boosted beginners because they got such a bad Trustfactor too.
This is annoying for every legit player, who are trying to improve there Rank in CS:GO but get completely destroyed by all the cheaters.
Change the Trustfactor If your Trustfactor is acceptional you dont have to worry about worsening it unless you are going to insult others in the Chat or do as much teamdamage as possible before getting kicked. If you are on the yellow stage, keep playing and be nice. The hours you grind on steam will slightly increase your trust.
